PM Modi addressed a massive public meeting in Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal. He reaffirmed his commitment to granting citizenship under CAA to refugee communities while promising strict action against illegal infiltration and those enabling it. He said that he has come to give a guarantee to the Matua community, the Namasudra community, and all such refugee families. He added, “Our Matuas, Namasudras, and all refugee families are not here by the grace of any TMC leader, but under the protection of the Indian Constitution.”
