Your becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in Indiaโ€™s history is a testimony to your leadership, dedication and the enduring trust placed in you by the people of India.
Thanks to your leadership, vision and perseverance, India today stands tall among the world’s great nations, confident in its strength and proud of its place on the global stage.

Mauritius and India share a bond that is unique, profound and deeply rooted in history, culture, ancestry and shared values. Under your leadership, these ties have acquired renewed strength and momentum and India has remained a trusted friend and partner of Mauritius, standing by us in our development, our security, our aspirations and our future.

I also wish to pay tribute to the personal friendship and mutual respect that have long marked our relationship. As longstanding friends, we have worked together in a spirit of trust, sincerity and common purpose, always guided by the close and special relationship between our two countries.
On this important occasion, I extend to you my warmest wishes for your personal well-being, continued good health and every success in your high office.
